WHY THIS WATCH IS IMPORTANT
Unveiled in 1972, the Royal Oak designed by Gérald Genta has achieved mythical status by defying the tastes of the era to become a hallmark of Audemars Piguet. In 1993, the introduction of the Royal Oak Offshore brought about additional change to the brand, introducing a compelling new twist to the iconic model. The Offshore pushed the boundaries of watchmaking even further, offering new materials, new sizes, and sportier functionality. The Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph, a dramatic timepiece with stopwatch functionality, utilizes flat side pushers that enable stop, start, and reset without interfering with the time—embodying the spirit of the original design but providing so much more.
This masculine 44mm reference contrasts a black ceramic bezel and black rubber strap with a stainless steel case and silvered dial. A selfwinding watch with chronograph function, hours, minutes, small seconds, and date—functionality aligns with design perfectly. From the black ceramic screw-locked crown and stainless steel push piece guards to an exhibition caseback, no detail has been left unfinished. This particular example is in mint like-new condition. Furthermore, the timepiece has just been serviced by Audemars Piguet and comes with a 2 year Audemars Piguet warranty.
